I completed my first one-way Condor A330-neoflight SFO-FRA in business class, in a prime seat, 2K. Overall it was a good trip worth the lower price than one-way to Europe pricing, though there were a few things I didn't like.
I had originally booked Premium Economy months ago $1000 for May one way. I then logged on 24 hours before takeoff to check in and there were 7 bz seats left and being offered for an upgrade cost, three normal premium seats available, starting at around $650 upcharge, plus another $239 each extra for the four premium first row seats
Condor is known for late flights, but this flight only left a half hour late. from the pleasant SFO international terminal, like mainstream airlines leave, and it arrived on more or less on time in FRA. Condor had short check-in lines (starting 3 hours pre-flight), divided into business, premium economy, and economy (checked baggage limits of 32kg, 25kg, and 22kg respectivelly.
My overall impression was "great for the money."
The lie flat seat was roomy overall ( roomier than the regular Condor business class, but had little padding on the behind and side, even when I deployed my matress pad. I didn't have a "buddy" to take advantage of the extra bench seating opposite me, e.g., to share a meal, but instead I enjoyed that space to bring my overhead bag down to after taking off, and to put coats on. There was a nice little storage cubby with a snapping door for shoes or personal items the regular bz seats don't have. I was also given a pair of PJs to use if I wanted to sleep in them (was able to don them without having to go into the toilet, just by stealthy use of the lap blanket). So, storage was better than in a regular bz seat. I also got a bonus box full of misc. junk food like Pringles and MMs, plus a 3 course dinner . Pre-flight I was offered water or 3 oz of OJ (not champagne, though I saw people with some), and there was a bottle of water at the seat along with an amenity kit offering little tubes of lib and skin lubricant, a wooden toothbruth and paste, and face spray moisturizer, plus a rectangular tin can to put them in called a "travel organizer." Overall the food was good enough to eat, but with nothing special and meal service took 2 hours from start to finish on this eastbound (where people might be keen on just going to sleep). Unfortunately it also took 1.5 hours after boarding before IFE was working. Every movie had a commercial ahead of it. The enlarged screen is not within reach in a prime seat, so you have to get up and tap it to get it going, and the controls to use during the movie are not intuitive. The movie choices are not particularly exciting. The male flight attendant assigned to my section was also not too keen on answering questions I had, and seemed annoyed that I was disrupting his routine. However, Condor did properly transfer my luggage to connect to my continuing flight to Bremen, so I was pleased. Passengers were well-behaved in business. I will consider this airline again, especially for a one-way (I'd be a little more hesitant to fly *out* of Frankfurt om Condor).
