UA940 EWR-LHR May 24th

At 8:30pm (30 mins before boarding), delayed until 11:00pm due to them swapping the arcratft we are supposed to use to be used on different flight.
At 9:10pm, delayed until 11:50pm, because they don't have any aircraft afailable except one which went MX (6675).
At 11:00pm, delayed until 1:30am, due to MX. Delays due to equipment and parts needed being elsewhere.
At 12:15am, delayed until 2:30am due to MX, but they say it is fixed, and just ops check and towing left to do.
At 1:30am, delayed until 3:30am, due to it turning out to not be fixed.
At 3:30am, cancelled due to crew timing out.

The promised hotel email/SMS never came, so I had book myself into the EWR Marriott, which I will try (emphasis on 'try') to get reimbursed for.

Auto rebooking moved me from 4A to 31K and downgraded me, so had to phone in at ~3:45am to get that fixed.
