ISTR that someone once commented that the hotel and tourism infrastructure is not as good as, say, the Canaries, hence a lack of strong interest by BA (given that BAH would probably drive a fair bit of the demand).
Also the commercials might not stack up for all year round against other options to use the aircraft, given that there and back probably takes the aircraft over 10 hours of its potential daily utilisation.
Sorry for straying off topic, and yes, understood, definitely doesn't have the same appeal as the Canaries, wishful thinking on my part. Yes, perhaps never a BA destination, but you know what they say about saying never.
