How are mileage plus earnings calculated on such a trip?
If the RTW ticket is issued on UA ticket stock, PQP and award miles will be calculated just like any other UA ticket >> base fare + fuel surcharge resp. base fare + fuel surcharge x UA status factor.
If the RTW ticket is issued by any other *A carrier, use
United Airlines PQP/PQF + RDM Calculator (economiles.com) to calculate PQP and award miles for non-UA operated flights. Depending on the distance of your flights and the number of flights you are taking, you might end up with more miles compared to an UA ticket.
