Welcome to Flyertalk. I agree with the others who encourage you to disclose the information about the hotel. Flyertalkers are (for the most part) a group of people who learn from each other, and willingly exchange information. In that respect, we are a family who is looking out for the good of each member.
Also, by disclosing the name, you may find others who can support your allegations if/when you discuss same with Marriott. You would be amazed at a group who supported each other early last year in making sure we all got promised ff miles from 1-800-flowers. It was absolutely because of the power of Flyertalk that we got some amazing amounts of ff miles.
I have status only with Intercontinental Hotels. (And that's only because of a Flyertalk hint), but I also choose hotels carefully whenever I travel. To me, a poor hotel experience can wreck a trip. You're paying good (sometimes huge) money and should receive terrific service. If you let Marriott get away with it, you're giving tacit approval to their poor level of service. And you are perpetuating the mess for the next guy (gal)... who might just be one of your flyertalk buddies.
