I got lucky at ONT a couple of months ago. They had one of these on the lot and it had 100% charge (or real close) for pickup. I hadn't driven one before, and it was the most interesting thing on the lot, so I grabbed it. Like the OP's, it was fairly new, just a month or two, with a few thousand on the clock.
I've had the new-style GCs before, so the ride and drive wasn't surprising, and I think it's decent-to-good for what it is. No real complaints. I did have two negative observations: 1. I thought the max regen setting could have gone a bit higher. I know a PHEV won't have the same 1-pedal driving feel as a pure-EV, but I thought it was a bit lacking. I didn't like that it wouldn't come to a complete stop on its own. And, 2. when the engine kicked on, it was a bit jarring. Both loud and shaky.
After the first day, I realized the hotel I was staying at had free charging, so I charged it every time I could, and ended up doing the rest of the trip in electric mode. While it was a new experience for me, over 3 days and ~80 miles I could see where this would not be a bad vehicle to own, especially if you could get some mileage out of electric mode.
