Semi off-topic, but I remember flying SQ Suites SIN-SYD (on points) and I'd booked the 'double bed' two centre suites, given I was travelling with my partner, but at the gate my boarding pass dinged red and they said they had moved my seat. When I quizzed them, they said it was because the electrical seat recline wasn't working, and when I said I'd deliberately booked that pair of seats they apologised that there was not another pair of centre seats available. They did say that the seat could still be reclined and adjusted, it would just need to be done by the crew, so I agreed that we'd just go with that and give it a try, and I'd move seats later if that turned out to be a problem.
Then inflight, it turned out that both seats ended up having issues with the electrical adjustments, but we were having a great time and really didn't worry about it and certainly didn't complain - in fact it almost added to the luxurious air of the experience to have someone reclining your seat for you (which given staffing levels in SQ Suites wasn't really a problem). Then suddenly the most senior cabin crew member arrived with SGD$800 in Kris Shop duty free vouchers, valid for a year. So we toddled off the flight with a bottle of JW Blue, a bottle of Hennessy cognac, and about $300 still left over for our next SQ flight later that year. Such a result!
