I've had a bit of a weird experience and am wondering if this is normal.

Booked a room at a Moxy through the app, flexible rate. Few days later I noticed that there's now also a Prepaid rate available for substantially less. Being sure about the date I thought to also book the prepaid rate, and then cancel the existing Flex stay.

However when booking the prepaid rate I got the "Successfully booked" message...and it having the same reservation number as the existing Flex stay. And the previously booked Flex stay is nowhere to be found. When looking at the details of the booking it now only has a single room, being the prepaid one. However I do now have two booking confirmation emails, both showing the same reservation number, and zero cancellation emails for the flex stay that I initially booked.

The app shows only one room for one night when I view the reservation. But the fact that I never cancelled the Flex room booking doesn't sit very well.. don't want to end up with two rooms. Is this common behavior or should I think about contacting them?
