It's definitely situational, and just because I'd fly them again doesn't mean I'd recommend them to others (thinking of family members who are anxious about travel).
But in my case the schedule worked out well, with the one daily SFO-PDX at a convenient time. And I had a backup plan in my mind (miles on one of the AS flights that evening) in case it was cancelled or delayed overnight.
I'm not sure if the current bundle pricing will stay or stay at the same price points. But as it is now, it makes it seem a lot easier to switch from AA/DL/UA/AS/B6 where the fare tiers are similarly structured and presented.
