Not saying crew werent working as hard as they were, or suggesting they are trying out an insurance scam, but given what happened it would be the right thing to all get checked up and logged as injured for insurance purposes - it IS their career. 12 of them managed to fly back the same night so as much as they were injured, they weren't TOO hurt. Hope the other 6 gets well soon.
Someone suggested upthread that there were perhaps 6 cabin crew in Y, with the rest spread over F/J/W and flight crew. If economy was being served at that point but not yet the premium cabins, that could make sense why 12 of them were less hurt and able to return.
