My only worry is the back and forth commuting between Yokohama and Tokyo. I can see that there is a bullet train option and slower train connections between Yokohama and Tokyo but the hotel isn't exactly close proximity to these stations so probably we would end up taking a taxi to the stations + train to reach Tokyo adding significant time and cost to our commuting. Should i just bite the bullet and stay IC in Tokyo or save money and maybe book a hotel directly attached to the bullet train station in Yokohama with easy access to the train? I really dislike stamp sized hotel rooms.
I did it for three of the days there from the other IC Yokohoma hotel. It was only an extra 30 mins from the areas I visited in Tokyo compared to if I would have spent all my time at ANA. I would have paid three times the amount for each day otherwise. Most of the time you’re changing at Yokohoma station and then it’s a straight shot to wherever you’re going. I wouldn’t of done it if it was a short trip but it really helped me out since it was for 10 days
