The V class reward availability benefit has a genuine cash value IME, and I personally value being able to get exit rows 99% of the time, partner F lounge access and the First wing. GF, not so much...

Overall though, I wouldn't be chasing it. Silver is a sweet spot. If you can do that and maybe earn Star Gold you have many more options when travelling.
