There are currently plenty of C+ seats available. Oddly, it wasn't showing me a purchased upgrade possibility previously but is now (at a price higher than I'm willing to pay). In any event, given that I'm in the exit row with loads of legroom on my flights C+ isn't a huge upgrade, anyway (and some posts suggest that it isn't one at all). I think that the priority check-in may be the best perk for me.
Which means nothing for a flight this summer. C+ upgrade window for Golds opens at 3 days out and they will likely take any remaining seats before the Silver window opens at 24 hour mark. You should definitely stick with an aisle exit row over a middle C+. The meals are the same and alcohol is free in both cabins on long haul international.
