She's a Bulgarian national, and sometimes they have two given names in their passport, and it's two given names on the US visa in her passport. We've flown within Europe and Asia a fair bit without specifying the second given name, and it has never been a problem, but I wanted to double check whether it could be a problem going to the US?
A very few years ago I was flying to JFK on AA with a friend and used Nikki instead of Nicola* when doing the booking. It never occurred to me that her name in the passport would be different. At the counter whilst dropping bags off I mentioned this discrepancy to the lady behind the desk. She fixed it ther and then with no fuss. As ever YMMV and I wouldn’t take the chance again.

* The names have been changed to protect the innocent.
