Hey everyone,
Based on my readings in this thread, it seems like for TWOV, the travel needs to be non-stop to a third country. However, I've also read that intra-China stops are allowed under certain conditions.
My itinerary:
- 1st June: Hong Kong to Beijing
- 3rd June: Beijing to Phuket, with an overnight layover in Hong Kong (4th of June)
Both flights would be with Cathay Pacific (CX) on separate tickets.
My main question: Does the overnight layover in Hong Kong disqualify me from TWOV? How is Hong Kong treated in this scenario?
Has anyone had a similar experience or know the specifics? What are my options? Do I need to drag myself to the visa center for an early morning visit and waste half a day waiting, or can I stick with TWOV?
