In full disclosure I had someone I know that works for Marriott let them know I was coming
Don’t think I would have gotten the upgrade on my own but could be wrong
They actually have a few strong team members but the majority are green who can’t do much of anything without approval and a bit robotic

My other thoughts it’s a sexy hotel with a beautiful hard product however I hate dark bathrooms with poor lighting
and the W lighting is a fail unless you go to have sex and want an erotic vibe
I think they could have taken it to the next level if they dropped some of the theatrical night club flair
That said as my Ozzie friends like to say it’s Over the top
and despite the service snafus
I still think about the memorable breakast as one of the top 3 breakfast standouts of my month away
Reminds me of how Hyatt used to be back in the day exciting to dine with
