Perhaps this is old news, and perhaps this is related to the long threads about AA's NDC policy, which I've been following pretty closely but am still not totally sure I understand. But this is the first time I've seen something like this.
The story gets a little more murky when Basic/Main is factored in but it's still a change for two reasons:
- In the past, ITA Matrix has shown the *lowest* possible fare, typically the basic fare, as the headline price.
- The pricing still doesn't match. If you chose basic on AA.com you get the $109 fare listed below, and if you chose regular Main on AA.com you get a net fare of $124 and an all-in fare of $148, neither of which match ITA either.
Anyone know what's going on?
