The Journalists Guide to Writing About BA
OK, so this could be about any airline, but BA is the one I know.
Here are some top tips to journalists when writing about British Airways...
1. Always refer to BA as "self-styled as The Worlds Favourite Airline" then mention how Jet2 gets better reviews. Oh and how you used to get a G&T in economy.
2. A new route always "Takes Off". Here is an example (you're welcome): "BA Summer Services from Stansted Take Off"
3. A new route can also "Fly High" or variations thereof. "British Airways flies high with new route to...."
4. A new route can also "Take Flight". "BA takes flight with new route to..."
5. BA's profits don't increase, they soar.
6. IAG shares don't rise or fall, they experience turbulence.
7. Oh I just remembered, a new route can also "Take Off".
I've run out of things about BA, but for Ryanair always mention that they were going to ask you to spend more than a penny to spend a penny. (Even though that was never going to happen, it makes good reading).
Any other tips, FlyerTalkers?
