Two years ago on a 4 day trip, we opted for a private tour company. All transfers, guided tours to museum, giza pyramids, saqqarah and the serapeum (my favorite), coptic cairo, etc. If you are interested in history, this is fantastic. (Our guide was an Egyptian historian). The best part was they took care of the details of our lost luggage upon initial arrival to airport at 2am. This would've been a nightmare trying in English, and fighting through the lines as there were many bags lost. We didn’t get to the Marriott until after 4am.
