Probably the only points where the GH stands out over the RC is that the GH is closer to Fukuoka Station and has the outdoor food stalls across the street at night. Also, the GH is part of the Canal City Mall complex, so it adjoins it for easy access. In terms of subway access, the RC is just as close to the subway as the GH is. Tenjin, where the RC is located, is a hub for shopping (large department stores) and many restaurants, all within close walking distance of the RC. You'd have to take a taxi from Fukuoka Station to the RC, but I'd rate it a better shopping and restaurant area overall than the GH. Of course, the RC is much more expensive than the GH, so GH wins on cost-performance, IMO, but I'd still opt for the RC, as it's a nicer hotel and area.
