Yes, both you and one companion are still eligible for Medallion comp upgrades at normal windows. It doesn't matter who the primary booker is for companion upgrades. You are both still eligible and upgrade priority will be that of the higher status passenger on the reservation. Primary booker only matters for who gets the mileage from the booking and the remainder of MQDs after flight MQDs are substracted.
