I've never seen anybody post about compensation but there is no harm in contacting them. What was the actual issue? Did it have no push button controls at all working or just require staff to manually wind the seat to flip it to the bed and back?

The alternative if they'd blocked out the seat would have potentially been to be downgraded to PE or Economy.
