You don't need to clear immigration if you are connecting in TPE. I am assuming you will get your boarding passes all at MFM so all you need to do is go through the transfer security with your boarding pass and you will be at the departure level again.
T1 and T2 are connected. It's a long walk but you can opt for the sky train on the sterile level.
