I too have had food and packaging missing @ select hotels however my guess is they aren't
likely stealing as they may assume
you want to dispose of it are through with it and wish to get rid of it.
So you almost have to leave a note on your items do not touch etc

On the opposite end sometimes they don't take old food away or room service and
welcome amenities that can stink up the room.So communication is clear.

Great job with trip reports BTW ET.
I prefer your reports to the best bloggers out there

Checkout this Chocolatier when in Melbourne and you will never eat hotel chocolates again.Hes French.
Years ago he was next door to David Jones in the CBD
I order online now and have it shipped right to the hotel and its outstanding.
I purchased 4 massive boxes & hand picked every flavor
The Grand Hyatt Mel pre covid used to gift them to me pre covid wow factor stuff

Thank you for the compliment - my food was taken when they just delivered towels. They didn’t clean any other aspects of the room, so they just decided to eat my packaged chocolate. I would be more understanding if it was a loose half of a slice of cake or something like that that could have attracted bugs.

I would be livid if someone stole overpriced Lune croissants.
