What is going on with the price of EMS seats? I paid for one in March from Ft Lauderdale to Cancun and it was $45. The return flight was $80. Two weeks ago I travelled the same route and the price didn't drop below $95! However, on the outgoing, the plane was half empty and we were upgraded to EMS for free (loading and weighting) as were others (glad I didn't pay for it in advance!). On the return, most of the EMS seats were empty. Obviously others didn't want to pay $95 either.
I'm travelling the same route beginning of July and the cheapest EMS seat is $117 - nearly all are vacant. This is a 90 min. flight. Yikes!
