It's more like interaction would be higher if both of you can speak Japanese fluently since they would be able and feel comfortable to engage in small talk (certain thing doesn't translate well from English), else the conversation side would be quite limited from my experience as I dont speak the language well. Service wise would be the same (for me a little bit robotic if they person cant converse well in English) as they have trained for.

I previously dressed up for flight too but in the end of the day due to me being easily drenched in sweat I decided to just wear something that is comfortable (Polo Shirt+Cargo Pants+Keen Sandals with socks) considering the heated building in Japan during cold period tend to be too warm for me
In MH domestic flight, i even go around with shorts and no one really bats an eye on it. Likewise saw some on Business class rocking something very casual too. So I think there nothing to worry about

worse case scenario just take something light ready to be changed when you arrived onto SIN/DPS
