I was getting a high fare for separate legs in a multi city search, also ex LHR, but I’m learning. Is there any tool like Matrix for exploring these indirect options or do they just come from experience? If it’s the latter it explains the popularity of this thread!
Some of it is experience, some of it is just darned luck, some of it is doing your research not just on FT, but some of the blogs out there - sometimes the information flows from travel agents that are having a poke around, sometimes its from folks that are playing around with expertflyer - it just all depends - these TP runs arent publicised by the airlines - for good reason, sometimes its a quirk of a ticket set .... theres a famous quote oft attributed to the onetime CEO of BA - if passengers ever worked out how ticketing/pricing works - we are all effed!

The Pearl lounge is absoultely appauling - its an outsourced lounge to Menzies (who are normally okay) ... but this one is absolutely dreadful ....the only good thing about it is that its where you need to be for going through passport control if headed to the UK/outside the Shengen zone! Lounges in HEL are pretty good though!
