Booked normal queen, no upgrade, no drinks vouchers, got cookie. Digital key was never issued so missed out on the 500 points for that.

Bathroom and kettle coated with extreme amounts of limescale (bottled water was in room), taps difficult to open and close (both due to limescale and poor design). Unergonomic chair.

There was only a portable space heater which didn't warm up the room that much but turned the air very stuffy, so had to open window which made the room freezing.

There was a wedding on and I was given a room at the back close to the dance floor, without any mention of this by staff. Fortunately I enjoyed the music as I had to work late on a mindless task anyway, I left the window open (wearing my thick coat) so not sure how the sound insulation would have been.

Breakfast was completely chaotic with no direction or organisation of the staff (who seemed to be moving between the reception and the restaurant), there was only ever one or two out of the 5 hot options available as they were instantly depleted the moment the chef brought out more, tables were not cleared and clean plates were not replaced. There were two hot drink stations but one had long queues while nobody noticed the other. One of the thermos flasks labelled hot water actually contained instant coffee.

Paid £71 after Amex offer. I wouldn't say no if the rate and location were suitable, though would not go out of my way to come here again.
