We stayed as a family in MO Taipei. The hotel, rooms, restaurants were good but the soft product (service) was terrible.
Everyone working there were like work experience kids - very formal and projecting the image of wanting to help without actually helping.
Examples- we went with my 2 year old - we asked for coloring books that we knew they had and this is what we got. No crayons, pencils ect.. had to call again and got 3 pens (blue, red, black) 🤔

Asked for warm milk in a takeaway cup with straw every morning at breakfast (to give to the 2 year old), and got scalding hot each day - in a normal cup - mind you it was the same 2 people we asked each day. They all smile and say yes every time, even after I remind them that last time it was too hot.

When we were leaving the hotel to go to the airport, we specifically asked for a car with a car seat. Everyone said yes - concierge and the duty manager. What we got was a XL car with no car seat. Had to wait for 20 min and get stressed for them to sort it out.

We asked for lunch options at 2pm for the family as the little one wakes up from her nap after 2 and the reply was that all their restaurants close from 2.3 to 5.3pm. No other options or suggestions.

So many examples of service failures and we were not being difficult or asking for unreasonable things.

For us it was amateur hour run by kids with no proper training or supervision.
