Was put on hold while she worked on it and was transferred to a new agent. New agent then told me it would be $500 for the change. I explained the earlier agent told me it would be an even exchange into F since I was cleared and an involuntary change. She continually told me that’s not the case and had to waitlist me into F on the connecting flight in ATL. What’s the deal here? Was the first agent correct and the second messed up my itinerary? Or was the first agent mistaken?
When your RUC “cleared”, was the ticket REISSUED (complete with new ticket number 006…., and does the receipt [not just the flight itinerary] say OL?), because if not then yes, you have to reclear the upgrade.
this makes me so mad when agents refuse to reissue right on the spot (they used to, but would have to send it to the manual reissue desk to do it, which took time). They claim “it’s fine” but it’s not.
