i stayed here last summer as it was near a wedding i had to attend.

overall it was fine, thats it. they cater to french and german holiday makers and loads of families around with shows and entertainment options thru the few nights. (note i was solo and dont really care to be around many kids or families!)

the rooms were perfectly fine, nothing special and very dependent where you were put. i arrived late the first night and put in a room facing an interior courtyard and the ac was not working and was moved the next day to a room backing to open space and the sea in the distance--a very lovely change.

staff were very...island pace. nothing urgent and little by way of resolving issues outside of normal business hours.

all these rooms along the green line look towards the interior courtyard and are quite miserable (was put there first night with broken ac) and was moved to rooms in top left facing north

i would certainly stay again if the price were cheap enough but the only reason i'd head to SW sicily would be to park it at the ortea in siricusa, but if you have kids or only plan to use this as a place to park it while touring around, its a fine choice and if the price is right id stay again but i would not expect anything grand. the breakfast is basic but serviceable, and its a nice place to relax in the evening over a bottle of wine because after all youre in sicily!
