This will give you close, but inaccurate information. The most accurate method is to go to united.com, click on Flight Status, enter the route you want, and click Details for one of the flights. Note the booking engine, timetable, and other sources will not always be accurate. Using your examples,
  1. SFO-ORD-DTW-ORD-SFO : 4692 (you forgot the 500-mile minimum)
  2. SFO-BOS-SFO : 5408
  3. SFO-FRA-BLR-FRA-SFO : 20628 (estimate from booking engine)

For a total of 30728.
