I'm flying to SEA from MAD tomorrow, via LHR T5. I know that BA's first wing has reopened with new scanners etc and am wondering if I should go through the e-gates, leave through the arrivals exits, then re-enter through the first wing instead of braving the god-awful T5 'transit passenger' experience? I ahve a BA gold card, flying Club Europe and Club World, with carryon only.
