In my experience of flying in F (inc twice to ORD), I've never failed to get my first choice and nearly always pick 2K. I wouldn't, personally, pick a seat simply based on meal choice either. I always prefer a window over middle seat, too. And, yes, the privacy is fine in F between those middle seats.
