How out of the way is the LM? Between Sheraton and Ren it seems like the Ren is closer to the river but has older rooms.

3 additional things I was wondering...

Which has the nicest pool? The best spa? And do any or all have a jacuzzi?

Having a tough time deciding.

Thanks
Would you be content enjoying the river as a backdrop to evening cocktails, breakfast and as a view from your room? Or do you actually plan on doing river stuff (strolling around Bach Dang Wharf park, riding the Saigon Waterbus)? If the latter, then yes, Ren has an edge on location, with a livelier riverfront scene directly opposite the hotel than LM, where the wharf opposite is an empty concrete slab devoid of activity. For me, this is simply not enough to justify paying top dong for Ren’s extremely dated hard product. Snazzy lobby but once you leave the elevator, it’s a time warp to 1999. LM has fantastic views of the Saigon river (even from the breakfast restaurant, Ren’s Viet Kitchen does not as it’s on the ground floor) and I wouldn’t call it “out-of-the-way”, especially with the Nguyen Sieu bypass road added behind the hotel last year, taking you right into the heart of District 1.Though not riverfront, Sheraton is still No.1 address-wise. A stone's throw from Park Hyatt near the Opera House and the historic downtown core. But it prices accordingly. I just find LM to be all-around better value and more charming, even with some of its service kinks.

None of Marriott’s downtown Saigon properties have particularly great pools. I’d say Sheraton>LM>Ren. And no jacuzzis at any

Not sure of your Marriott Bonvoy status, but chances of a suite upgrade are highest at Sheraton, then LM (where the corner suites are really something). Ren is known to be stingy on this. All have good to great lounges where a full meal can be had from evening cocktails/hors d’oeuvres. Sheraton’s restaurant buffet is vastly inferior to its Club Lounge offering, while LM Saigon’s spread at Latest Recipe is one of my favorite Marriott restaurant breakfasts around and a highlight of staying at that hotel.

Good luck choosing!
