A few more general hotel photos
Hi,
A few more general hotel photos from my stay in mid April
Entrance to the hotel from the street. Nice to see some plants and a min garden rather than a generic front door
A selection of Evening snacks at the executive lounge. Did like the large shrimp crackers
The Matcha area at breakfast time in the restaurant ( harder to get pictures of other areas) .Matcha ice cream also. Very sweet but very tasty. Fruit cocktail also.
Some of the sitting area on the 9th floor executive lounge. Nice views of the shinkansen trains.
Lobby area( coffee lounge/bar to the right)
Entrance corridor from front entrance. Did a bit of a u turn at the end and walked in the corridor behind for the elevators
Lounge bar area
Although the offerings in the lounge could do a light meal if not too fussy ( as is the case in many hotels now) i tried the restaurant. Had the salmon which was very good. Extra side items would be extra but did not need them. Burgers etc also available. Prices reasonable ( esp wit exchange rate and 25% diamond dining discount)
View of the dining area. Breakfast items are put on the counter in the distance. Quite quiet when i was there but service was very good.
As seen on the hotel instagram page. The bonsai tiramasu. Had to try it and it was very good)
The cakes from the lobby bar looked tempting so tried one. They did not have a box so provided a plate, fork and a tray ( took the tray back afterwards)
The breakfast area in the executive lounge .Good selection ( not as extensive as downstairs but still with a few hot options). Coffee machine to the left)
More seats at the executive lounge
Did like this pattern ( real grass) in the executive lounge
It will be interesting to compare this with the new Hilton Kyoto ( opening in October i think) as the hilton will also have a lounge and pool. The hilton location is to the east so not as handy to Kyoto station but probably easier access to the major tourist sites on the eastern side of Kyoto.
Regards
TBS
