From HKG to LHR I've got the option of the 773 or A350 so I'm pretty flexible on that one. Depends on how many 773s have been fitted with the Aria Suite.
773 and 77W aren't the same. A 773 (meaning non-ER) is primarily for high density intra-Asia routes. I can't think of anywhere else in the world they are commonly used and CX was the launch customer for the type. Your LHR flight would be 77W vs. A350. Those 77Ws are perfectly fine even if not yet retrofitted. The 773's and a good number of intra-Asia A330's have recliners that aren't even angle-flat like JL's God awful 788 seats. I've had those CX A330 and 773 recliners on a few flights that were like 6 or 7am where I was still very very tired and couldn't sleep since they're not even angle-flat, granted it's a 3-5 hour flight but still on a 6am flight I want to lie down and sleep again.
