No further activity related to this transaction to date.
I did book with my account using PWPs many other flights which were mostly all flown over the course of the next 3+ months. I have no idea if this is what caused that original 1/10 transaction not to be automatically undone as it was for my spouse but to my naked eye this is the only reason it probably is this way being that everything else was the same with both of our transactions.
I can now debunk this theory. 4+ months later and this transaction has now been reversed as well. So it's irrelevant that there were at least 10+ other tickets purchased and flown by myself, spouse, daughter, her spouse, etc, between then and now. Each transaction is audited on its own merit. So basically Amex just lent me a couple of hundred dollars for a few months interest free and now it's time to pay them back 🤑.
