Check in will be open at ~4.30 for the Sydney flight so you'll be OK

I believe if you're in CW or F you can use the Premium check in facility all day

What you mustn't do is go airside and then try to come back landside , it's illegal to be airside without intent to travel and immigration does pick up on this
