Yes it's 1 cent per MR point prior to rebate - $100 ticket = 10,000 MR points. After 35% rebate its similar to the 1.5 cpp you get from CSR. In the past I have been able to use UA credits same as if I bought with them direct. Same is true for DL flights. The only airline I had an issue with was AA which required me to rebook via Amex travel and I ended up losing part of a credit once because of that so I try not to book AA flights using MR points.
