I did finally notice that SQ opens up calendar at my 0:00 local time, which I thought was weird, that a singapore airline would use US eastern time
and consequently any few hours of booking advantage they might have over CX are not going to be a big deal
The issue I've found with SQ, is that while the window opens at noon SIN-time (midnight ET), flights aren't necessarily open then. For my latest JFKSIN redemption, I found low level awards opened up about 3 days after the booking window opened. And unlike JL, F doesn't seem to be released by SQ at the edge of the window, at least not on the JFK direct flight. I'll admit I haven't checked other routes, just New York.
