Gate A2 was immediately outside of the lounge and ‘boarding’ commenced around forty minutes to departure. The gate was a zoo, no concept of group 0 or 1 boarding, just everyone for groups 1-3 in a semi-controlled conga.
Once through the boarding pass check we then queued on the jet bridge entry and five minutes later queued again on the jet bridge proper. Eventually on board and seated twenty plus minutes later.
When I took the photo of the data plate it opened up a conversation around flight journals. I mentioned the difficulty in getting the BA books and he has offered to send me some which I’ll pass on to fellow FTers of/when they arrive
Really friendly in flight lead and a young group of cabin crew. One of the crew has gone onto the flight deck for take off, I’m not jealous, much
Everyone on board with five minutes to scheduled departure and the safety demonstration completes as we push back exactly on time.
My seat mate in 1A seems to be in full isolation mode, head down into his book and noise cancelling headphones at the ready.
