Jumping on this “is it worth it” thread.

I will naturally reach Silver by end of August 2024 without any TP runs.

I have a BA Holidays booking with a QR return to Bangkok on BA codes in September, netting 560 x 2 = 1120 TPs which will get me to Gold, until April 2026.

The balance due on this is £3300 plus the £200 deposit already paid, total price £3500, including a 5* hotel in Bangkok for ten nights which is £1000 if booked separately.

If I cancel this, both inbound and outbound are available with Avios and I have enough Avios for this. But if I do this, I save the £3300 (minus the fees and taxis for the Avios ticket) and 150,000.

As both options have their pros and cons, I’m like the indecisive donkey on this one and therefore not doing either and just sitting on it.
