Ah, but this is the BA forum on FlyerTalk where a large percentage of people will pay large premiums for very little beyond their egos

Silver works for me at present. Ok, I've lost access to the First Wing and GF at LHR, the QF lounge at LAX, and possibly one or two other things, but I'm surviving.
As said in another thread, I booked some Ryanair flights next month, and apart from being direct compared to connecting in London with BA, even adding every extra, they're a good 3-4x cheaper. I can do without the 20TP or so, 400 Avios and a small pie & instant mash in a lounge for that saving.

I'm going to do just enough (maybe a BAH) to get back to Gold this year. No desire to spend more to get back to GGL as no real benefits for me
Will spend as little as possible as I don't want to be throwing money at a company that couldn't really give a flying monkey about 99.9% of its passengers.
I'll spend what I need to to suit my needs
