What status levels are we comparing? Also, how big is the family and what are the kids' ages? Does the family stay in one room? [This can matter for lounge access and free breakfasts; one must check the fine print for each hotel brand if applicable.]

Without further details, I would generally pick Marriott Bonvoy because some of the benefits are in principle "guaranteed" [such as late checkout, except for resorts and convention hotels] versus being based on availability as determined by the hotel.
