Thanks all,

I seem to have challenges with lost and delayed luggage hence the new-ish B&R case that should give me enough space. The last thing I need to deal with is not having luggage on my first trip to china.

Called KLM care and they have arranged assistance from ground and cabin crew to take my bag up the steps and load it into the locker. Surprisingly simple (and free to my surprise).

and yes, I already figured the exit row was out so economy comfort or a paid upgrade at check in looks the way to go.

Will let you know how I get on.
