Many here will be familiar with Accor's STEP rates at the luxury property brands, available from luxury travel advisors.
This has now been rebranded to 'Accor Preferred by HERA', but still offers the same benefits:
- Daily complimentary breakfast for 2, per room
- $100 USD credit to be spent on property (subject to conditions)
- Upgrade at time of check-in (subject to availability)
- Early check-in & late check-out (subject to availability)
- VIP welcome
Fairly often participating hotels will also have extra offers, such as '3 for 2' or '4 for 3' night offers that combine, and which aren't available on other rates.
Apparently there are 'more than 270' participating hotels across the brands: Raffles, Fairmont, Banyan Tree, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, Emblems, Delano, SLS, SO, and Paris Society.
Under the previous STEP program certain hotels in other brands also participated (e.g., 21c, 25hours, Angsana, Faena, Hyde, MGallery, Mondrian, Movenpick, Pullman, Rixos, Swissotel) with cheaper hotels often requiring a minimum 2-night stay. So, it looks like these 2-night minimum hotels and hotels in the expanded range of brands no longer get preferred benefits unfortunately.
The previous STEP program used to publish an excel list of the hotels, but I can't yet find an equivalent easy list of the new ones. It's also not automatically guaranteed that every hotel in the participating brands will participate (e.g., Sofitel London Heathrow doesn't).
