First post and first attempted reward flight booking so apologies if this is a silly question.

My friend & I are hoping to fly from London to Orlando next summer (2025) and I'm hoping to use my avios to book us reward flights in WTP when they become available. I understand these are usually released 355 days beforehand.

My question is am generally I better off booking 2 one way flights- so pouncing on the outbound 355 days before we wish to fly and then the return 355 days before the return flight or am I best waiting until 355 days before the return and booking a round trip then, thus risking the reward seats in WTP for the outbound flight potentially being gone due to limited numbers of WTP reward seats? As far as I can tell the price/ avios difference with two one-way bookings is negligible but not sure how quickly the seats are likely to go? (We will be travelling early July so before UK school holidays).
