I haven't done A/B comparisons (difficult to be in two places at one time) but I can't compare the meals in Polaris with the meals in Premium Plus -- served in a generic aluminum tin and seem to have fewer flavor components and be a smaller portion. Nor have I ever heard more than the two economy options offered. Most recently ORD-HND in late March.

I do only do maybe a dozen international segments in a busy year and maybe half of those are in Premium Plus so my impression may be skewed.
