You're right -- that does go to new heights. On the other hand, I've seen some pleasant changes with the Chase takeover. For years and years, First USA used to mail monthly bills incredibly late (with no postmark on the metered postage), constantly flirting with "Regulation Z" violations (which sets the minimum time between mailing and due dates for credit card bills), presumably in an attempt to increase revenue from $29 late fees. Since Chase took over, they are mailing much earlier and also set my payment date later by 3-4 days. In short, an ethical business for a change.
